Jorgie bought an iPhone
I think it may be The End of Days. Jorgie bought an Apple product, for himself, with his own money (tax rebate, actually)….the scary part his that he really, really ‘hearts’ his iPhone…..Like Whoa!
He was really surprised and saddened that I didn’t want to play with it the first day he had it. I messed about with it in the car the next day…its cool, the screen is amaz-able. I still like my phone to do two things- 1. have good signal strength 2. be really easy to use. It not like a need a jitterbug, but when it comes to portable devices, I really don't want all the bells and whistles.
Jorgie and I rescued a chihuahua yesterday. We were driving back from walking our guys at Stephen’s lake park. While tooling down Sinclair, we noticed what looked like a baby fox in the road. It was just wandering and trying to walk up to cars as they drove past…not a good idea. As we got closer I noticed it had a collar on…and it was a chihuahua. After a small debate that went something like this …“Don’t you Stop”…”I’m stopping”…”Well, don’t stop in the middle of the road”….”I’m definitely stopping…now”
Anyway, I cruised to the side of the road…the guy behind me figured out I was doing a rescue, and stopped as well, to hold traffic. I just leaned out of the car and snagged the little guy up and into the car. Jorgie called the phone number on the little guy’s tag and we got him back to his owner toot-sweet. The poor lady was a wreck..crying from having lost little ‘Marty’. A few miles later, and closer to home, some anonymous little animal jumped out from the ditch and under the tires, so whatever kharma we buffed up by saving the dog was immediately put into the debit column. Oh well…I’m happy for Marty and his ‘mom’.
Speaking of Tax refunds. between the iPhone and this item, which is for moi, the tax refund is about spent....that didn't take long, in fact, its scary how fast we spent it. I can't wait for my bike to get here...my old schwinn was +15 years and kind of like pedaling a sherman tank...I'm looking forward to something that I can enjoy. The semi-recumbant's are really nice. Jorgie got a Giant semi-recumbant last year and I really like it.
