We have been back from our annual jaunt to Michigan for nearly a week. The 2 weeks flew by, as usual. It was great to have 2 weeks away from it all. Once I found out that my cell phone would recieve text messages out in the boonies, I made sure work folks knew that, then I didn't check email or nuthin, which was very cool.
E. and I read a ton of novels on the trip. I had brought us a stack of books, then we ran across the Montague Library's book sale, on one of the final days, and we got a paper sack full of pretty decent stuff for cheap.
I gave my sister a librarian action figure for her birthday. She really loved it. I was a little afraid that she might not like it, but no worries there, she thought it was pretty cool, and is going to display it on her desk. For those who don't know, she is a library, now working at an elementary school as the head librarian, after a stint at the public library and many years working as same at the local high school.

Dog Daze are here in Columbia. If you don't know, that is when the downtown merchants try to flog all the merchandise that they can't normally sell under the guise of an amazing sidewalk sale. I did get a cool pair of Keen shoes at Dryers. I love that store because it is like steping back into the 1950's. I was going to wander downtown and do a little more looking around at some of the stores that I usually don't shop at, but today got crazy and I didn't get a chance. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm gonna run- I've been waiting and waiting for windows update svc pack 1 to finish on my new test server, but its taking forever. I need to exist this test lab and go thaw out my feet...dang it is cold in here!
