I hung a hummerbird feeder a couple of months ago, placing it near the living room window that I typically sit near, so I could watch the birds. Well...I did see a few hummingbirds. Typically they would hit the feeder for a nanosecond, then move on to the flowers, of which we have plenty.
On Saturday when we were helping Jules move into her fabulous new home, her mom mentioned her bird feeder and how it was swamped with hummingbirds. On Monday I decided that maybe I just needed to change out the fluid in mine. I got out the bottle of nectar, and noticed in passing that you are supposed to add sugar...copious amounts of sugar. Oh!
Well, we have hummers now, and boy are they agressive little suckers. I watched 3 of them playing kamakaze battle tonight.
