Why is it that right when my hair is just the way I like it, I know that I have a hair cut appt. coming up in about 4 or 5 days? I know there is no sense is delaying the haircut, cuz by the time the 6 or 7 days have passed, the 'good hair' has gone away in favor of a pile of untamed craziness, and I start hearing comments like "boy, your hair...its....poofy today..." yeah, like I didn't already know that smartass!
I haven't blogged lately cuz I haven't done anything much but concentrate on my diet and exercise program. I've been on a 'cut back' sort of diet for several months, but I decided to stop screwing around and set some solid goals and really work for it. I hate weighing myself, so I don't know how much weight I've lost since my regumen began on August 6th, but my regular pants are too big to wear now, and what were my tight pants are about 4 inches too big in the waist, so things are going well. I use fitday to track calories and exercise. I tell ya, tracking calories is a real eye opener, and works really well to help control eating. My exercise regumen pretty much involves using the Gazelle ski machine thingie, which works really well because its quiet enough for me to work out on while watching taped episodes of Stargate and other shows. I can't tolerate just exercising without some distraction.
Last Sunday we volunteered at the Friends of the Columbia Public Library book sale. We were posted inside with the nonfiction and other media such as books on tape, cd's , cassettes, etc. this time, and it wasn't nearly as busy as the fiction area outside, which was ok, but it made the time go by slower. Plus, we had to deal with all sorts of odd ball pricing on the media, which was kind of confusing to keep track of. Fiction is much easier, pricing-wise. Paperbacks ar 50 cents, hardbacks one dollar. We are signed up to help with the Oct 8th children's book sale. I guess I need to track down the piece of paper I wrote down the hours we are supposed to work on. I think it was 1pm to 4....
