nothing is new

I try to update when I've been doing cool or at least mildly entertaining things and well....I've been a slug lately.
The dogs are doing the training thang and they both understand the rudiments of sitting and heeling now. They can't figure out that 'down' means lay down. Petey sort of does a crouching thing with a confused look on his face, Buster converts all his matter to pudding when asked to 'down' so you end up with a puddle of dog at the end of the leash. Roger(the trainer) is telling me that this is wrong and Buster should lay down properly. These are the things I am working on these days.
When I get paid this weekend I'll finish up the entryway work- painting, new closet door, etc.
Jorgie bought a new scooter. This one goes +40 mph so he will have to license it and get a motorcycle license etc. We went out for an inaugural ride last night in the pouring rain...can you say hydroplaning? We went up the road about a 10th of a mile then came home. It was the first time I'd been on my scooter in months.
It seems that Fall is finally here. The temps are in the 70s and will be in 50's for the evenings. Hopefully this means that the Heart of Darkness mosquitoes that we have will finally die off.
