Jorgie and I laid one row of tile last night. It looks like we are going to be a little short on tile so I'm going to figure out a pattern we can do in the center of the floor with a different color of tile. I think it will look cool, and will break up the large expanse of tile....I'm heading to Lowes tonight!
Once the tile is done the living room carpet will have to be dealt with. Its really skanky looking now. I think I found the laminate I want to use- they have laminate that looks like bamboo, which I really like. Why not just go with bamboo flooring you ask? Well...I brought home a sample a few months ago and I was able to really scratch it up without a lot of effort so I don't think it will hold up in our environment.
I also need to pick new paint for the living room. I have toyed with the idea of removing the popcorn ceiling, but I read a couple of websites on how to do this and it sounds like a huge ordeal. Its something to mull over for awhile that for sure. I may end up having to hire someone to come in and do ceilings. Some things are just worth paying for.
