So on Sunday morning 'round about the crack of o'dawn I get up with the dogs and as we are getting ready to head out for a quick walk, with me dressed in ratty clothes from head to foot, I hear some noises, like someone is right outside. I run and pull on some extra clothes and open the living room blinds...right outside is the fence guy, George. George gives me a smile and little wave/salute thing, as I stand there slack-jawed. I roused Erik and we went out to see what was up. George had time Sunday am, and so with his classic 'git r done' attitude he came out and got started on the job. The crew had all the posts in in about an hour, and came out the next day and finished up...what a great crew. If I ever need any other fencing done, I know who to call.
It was so cool to come home on Monday evening and let the dogs out to run. They were initally confused when I didn't attach leashes. I'm pretty sure that Buster thought that he 'got loose' as he made his Ha Ha face and ran off, then realized that no one was yelling at him to come back.
Many, many crazy circles have been run, chasing games have ensued, and Petey things that sneak attacks on Buster are great, as long as he can make it back to the chaise lounge in time to run under and hide.
I think its great because I can sit outside and enjoy the outdoors with my pups. If the weather stays warm like this, I'll be puttig some plants in before much longer. Right now I have my work cut out for me cleaning up the flower beds. The cold weather took it' s toll on some of planters that I really should have gotten put up for the winter, and a lot of the patio stones heaved - especially the stones around my pond, so I'm going to have to pull most of the pond surround apart and re-set the stones.
I'll get some pictures up of the fence and yard this weekend.
