Whoa- what a week

It was one of those weeks where I couldn't quite keep track of what day it was. With the amount of work/stuff I had to get done, I kept hoping it was a day earlier in the week, just because I felt like I was falling behind on getting things done, even though I brought work home 2 evenings.
This morning I work up at 3am...got up at 4am and watched a couple of Tivo'ed programs...Veronica Mars, which I can't decide if I really like all that much, and also Homicide- Life on the Streets, which is probably the best TV program of all time. Its the first long running series that I've considered buying on DVD. At this point I just tivo an episode a day on WGN. If they stop showing it I will break down and buy the entire 7 seasons on DVD- its just that damn good.
I got to work around 7:30am- I started in on a task that I thought would take an hour. Mark and I were still working on it at 11...I guess I suck at estimating some times.

Hopefully by this time next week our yard will be fenced in. We are happy with the company we hired. The guy was so cool about doing the estimate and came out after regular working hours- he had some great suggestions on how to lay things out, and his price was about a $1000 lower than I expected....all around a good experience. I really can't wait until I can just open the door and let the pups out to run. I'm sure the dogs will be happy as well- an opportunity to run free without leashed up. It will also be nice to be able to hang out on the deck with the pups, and not have to worry about the neighbor's chickens running rampant and crapping all over the place. I was about fed up with the chickens today- they got into the garage (we leave the door open a bit for the neighbor's dog Casey, so she can get out of the weather) All the chickens and that damn goose were in the garage. I got my spray bottle of home made dog repellant (lemon juice with a few shots of tabasco) and I started spraying away- I did get them out of the garage, but they just ran up on the deck- crapped about a 100 times, then ran under my car. The next time they cause me trouble I'm going to get Jorgie's paintball gun.
