New Phone
I joined the 21st century and got a new cell phone. I would have continued on with the old phone, but more and more of the keys were starting to act up and the 6 key just quit working altogether yesterday.
It was the most painless process to switch to a new phone (I luv Cingular). Erik emailed our campus rep and told him which phones I was interested in, that I wanted my number switched from my Go phone, and which plan I wanted. The rep told us to just go by the Cingular store and everything would be taken care of. By the time we got to the store the employee there already had everything ready...I just had to pick a phone. I had my new phone, with number switched over, address book moved, etc. in about 15 minutes. So now I have one of these.
More snow
it took us about an hour to get into work this morning. We had freezing rain overnight, then some snow..then around 7am the snow was coming down at about an inch an hour. We saw many cars off the road including a tow truck and on the big hill on Rte. K two cars got stuck partway up the hill and could go no further...everyone was doing their best to drive around them and not drive into the ditch. Only about 1/2 of our normal staff made it in. Erik and I talked it over and decided to take a half day and leave at lunch so as not to deal with freezing roads after dark. Luckily with my laptop I can keep track of work from home pretty easily.
